Sing Stark welcomes Lou Poppovich to the Board of Trustees! Mr. Poppovich's longtime dedication to the arts in Stark County demonstrates a passion that will assist the organization as it pursues new choral initiatives.

B. Louis (“Lou”) Poppovich, Senior Vice President, Commercial Team Leader, Canton and Mahoning Valley Regions, The Huntington National Bank

Lou began his commercial banking career in 1982 covering Northeast Ohio.  Prior to joining Huntington in 2007, he was a senior banker and commercial manager for another regional financial institution in Northeast Ohio. He received a BSBA degree with a major in Accounting from The Ohio State University in 1982 and a MBA degree with a major in Executive Management from Ashland College in 1986.

Throughout his career, Lou has been very active in the community.  He currently serves on the Advisory Board for Walsh University and previously served on its Deville School of Business Mentoring Program Committee.  He is also active as a volunteer with Junior Achievement.  Lou recently joined the Board of Trustees for Sing Canton.  

Lou’s previous community involvement included The First Tee of Canton’s Board of Trustees; Co-Chairman of American Heart Association’s Stark/Wayne Heart Walk Executive Leadership Team; Board of Trustees for United Way of Summit County; Board of Trustees for Akron Chamber of Commerce; graduate of Leadership Stark County and member of its Selection Committee; Stark Development Board Finance Corporation Board of Trustees; Chairman of Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce; Massillon Development Foundation Board of Directors; Chairman of Massillon Boys’ and Girls’ Club; President of Massillon Kiwanis Club; President of Massillon Tiger Touchdown Club; Treasurer of Massillon Jaycees; Family Counseling Services Board of Trustees; Boys Scouts of America; and, Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges.  Lou has also volunteered as a youth football, basketball, and track coach for many years.
